Park hours are listed from 8am to 10pm. Use your best judgment when walking the trails after sunset. The cache is located just off the western most natural path. During the non-tree-covered months, it appears the trail is visible by the row of houses nearest this trail. (See the map link below)
A map of the trails can be found here.
The easiest part of this hunt will be finding the cache. Once you find the cache, your task will be to figure out how to open it. Everything needed to open this cache is at GZ. TOTT are optional except for the tool you use to locate this cache. The cache is big enough to hold most if not all sized travel bugs and coins.
Of course you should BYOP.
Please don't force anything. It all is designed to open with zero force. It is very important that you put everything back in its original position so that each new cacher will have the same experience as the previous.
The cache took about 2 months to build with multiple revisions. It has been tested/opened and quality has been assured by a sampling of cachers ranging from 9 years old and up. This area is in play year round, and the city maintains and plows the paved walking path from the parking lot to about the last 100-150 feet. There appears to be enough foot traffic to create a nice beaten path from the paved path.
Wicked has been voted MnGCA's December 2013 Cache of the Month!
Please don't share hints in your logs. I want this to be the same experience for each cacher. The difficulty is based on opening this cache when you come upon it for the first time. There are visual hints that should help at GZ. A hint will become available if I find that cachers are having problems opening this cache. The terrain and difficulty will be adjusted accordingly based on cacher experiences. Please report any issues with this cache right away.
A FTF travel coin is available for FTF. We also started this off with some good swag. Good luck!
