Douglas Lake Traditional Cache

This cache and it’s contents are intended to be oriented towards the Hiker / Camper enthusiast.

It is located in Strathcona Provincial Park, beside Douglas Lake, approximately midway on the trail from Mt. Washington to the old Forbidden Plateau Ski Lodge.

There are also two other caches located nearby - GC4J3AY and GC4484K.

I have rated the Terrain Difficulty as 4 only because of the relatively long hike involved. (Approx 15 km from Mt. Washington or 10 km if coming from the old Forbidden Plateau Ski Lodge.)

There is a good place to camp overnight at both at Douglas and McKenzie Lake, usually with good fishing, if you want to make it a 2 day trip.

Cache is in a 7” x 10” x 4” Cammo’d Ammo Can.
