This cache is located near one of Raleigh oldest parks - Moore Square. Moore square has been around since 1792 and has been used for many things including a church, a military campground, and schools. Moore square experienced several years of decline but is now part of the revitalization of downtown Raleigh. It is home to the large acorn that is dropped every New Year's.
Update: the acorn has moved to a new location but this cache is too good to move! Lots to do in Moore square while you’re out and about.
