Geocache Description:

The 5th wave of the Blackrock Power Trail starts at the back of Dalkey Village and meanders down Coliemore Road and onto Vico Road --- all the while giving cachers magnificent views over Dalkey Island and Killiney Bay.  There is easy access to this part of the Power Trail from the Dalkey DART Station.

The Cache
The 38th cache in the BRPT takes you to the edge of the Dalkey/Killiney headland near the corner of Coliemore Road and Sorrento Terrace.  Access to the Hide is through Coliemore Park walking directly from BRPT #37.  When you arrive at this magnificent GZ you are but a stone's throw (or a short swim!) from Dalkey Island...  totally deserted except for some goats, some sheep and one very tempting T5 cache!  But that's for another time.

The cache itself is a regular size lock-n-lock box with plenty of room for swaps.  To find the correct path to the Hide use the Trailhead Waypoint provided. After you find the booty, spend a few minutes sitting on the large boulder taking in the views over Dalkey Island and Killiney Bay.  And marvel at the famous row of terrace houses on Sorrento Terrace a few meters to your right as you look out to sea.

The Blackrock Power Trail Series (BRPT)
The series started its life in Idrone Terrace on Dublin Bay behind Blackrock Village and has now spread both north-west and south-east from the original Cache. .

Good hunting!
