What is Cache to Eagle? Cache to Eagle is a series of public geocaches hidden at or near the sites of Boy Scout Eagle projects to highlight their service to the community.
Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to the 90-plus requirements and 21 merit badges, each Scout must complete a project that requires countless hours of planning, dedicated leadership, and commitment for their community, religious institution or school.
This cache highlights the work of an Eagle Scouts from Troop 30.
In 2008 the “Welcome to Freeport” sign was installed.
Over 150 hours of service was given to the community with this project.
