Geocache Description:

Are you up for a short hike for another great view of the Seldovia harbor? Your hike will begin here N 59 27.559 W 151 41.126 where you see the sign next to the yurt and continue up a mildly steep slope that features yummy Salmon Berry and Blueberry picking in late July. When you reach the tower, be sure to look out towards the ocean to get another perspective of Seldovia.

The best time to hike this trail is late July or Early August when the berries are ripe and the weather is great, but the views in winter can be pretty spectacular too. Once you get to the tower, you will see some radio equipment buildings and you want to examine the brown one closely to find the cache. The container is outside the building in a small screw top bottle with enough room for a small geocoin and a cache log. Be sure to take photos of the views and post your visit here on the geocaching.com site so I can reminisce about the time I visited here to hide it.
