At the listed co-ordinates when locating the clue, look south west, across the paddock, to see the Pirron Yallock Railway Station.
At GZ, look north west to see the water tower. It is historically significant for its associations with the former steam railway era.
Letterbox hybrid is a 1 litre screw top camoed container hidden. Please do not take the stamp - it is NOT a swap. While this cache can be found at night, please use extreme caution. Cache contains rubber stamp (please do not remove), log book, pencil. There is room for swaps and trackables.
Traditionally, a letterbox hybrid pays homage to an older style of cache that dates back to the halcyon days of caching origins.
It would require a set of clues collected from peoples letterboxes and ultimately end up at a 'letterbox' that contained a unique stamp.
In the early days, cachers would keep their own log book and collect these unique stamps from their finds and leave their own personal stamps as 'signatures' in the log books of the letterboxes.
This is a variation of the original theme. There are no clues to collect other than to use your GPS to find GZ, then if you would like, take an imprint of the stamp enclosed in the cache (please do not remove the stamp) and leave your 'stamp' as your signature.
Please bring your own stamp for the log book, draw a picture, leave a sticker or simply leave your usual signature (caching name) and date.
The Pirron Yallock Railway Station Complex was constructed in 1894 by F Holyoake on the Camperdown-Geelong Line for Victorian Railways. It consisted of a small timber station building, which is symmetrical in form. It featured distinctive scalloped weatherboards to the facades and gambrel roofs balancing the central waiting area, which is protected by extended eaves carried on decorated brackets. The goods shed, platforms, van goods shed and cart dock have all been removed.
Pirron Yallock Railway Station is historically significant as an example of a less elaborate station built by the Railways Department durning the economic depression of the 1890's.
The station (on the Melbourne - Warrnambool line) was one of 35 closed to passengers on 4 October 1981.
The station was restored by the State Government in 2003, the windows and doors were blanked off. The station building remains unused today behind a cyclone fence with no gates.

Please be mindful of potential creatures at GZ in warmer weather. And in wetter weather, be mindful of where you park and where you choose to turn around.
