A little walk of about 1 and a 1/2 miles along public footpaths. No particular hazards only the usual nettles, thorns and dog-walking muggles. The good news is there is no ivy and no livestock!
There is plenty of parking at the bottom of Healey Road or round the corner along Miller Street where there is a hostelry renowned for serving Real Ales.
It is possible to access the canal towpath from here too (via the Kirklees Way) where there is another series by Palma Violet.
