Site #1 of the LTERP and our first Shaver's CreekCache is in the area we refer to as the "Twin Bridges"—within the small grove of Eastern hemlocks beside the two wooden bridges over our namesake creek.
The cache is a waterproof plastic container which is large enough to contain a logbook and room for other items. Please take your time and leave an inspired entry in the book! Feel free to make a sketch, pen a poem, or write as much as you like. There are a couple of pencils in the cache, but feel free to bring along some colored pencils to add a colorful sketch to the logbook! And if you take any photographs, please share them with us by uploading them at www.ShaversCreek.org/PhotoShare!
You might find your submissions on our website or Photo-a-Day feature in the future!
So far, we've invited resident reflectors to spend some time at the Creek—authors, artists, poets, musicians—and see how each LTERP spot inspired them. You can discover all of their artifacts at www.ShaversCreek.org/LTERP
... but now it's your turn. Please help enrich our project by leaving something special in our logbooks!
