Welcome to T2S's latest installment of "Random Park and Grabs with a bit of History".
This is located in the back of a parking lot, directly across from what used to be Gentleman's club in the 1700's, and a Restaurant from 1930 on. It has had significant flooding at times from the Schuylkill River, with great damage and repair needed after Hurricane Agnes in 1972 and again in 2006 and 2007, before finally closing in 2009. Amity township has approved the re-zoning of this property as of March, 2013 to be used as a museum in the future and possible site for visits by ghost hunters and/or as a haunted house.
If you are interested in learning more details, there is a wealth of information to be found online, and I will include a few links that had some nice right-ups, rather copying and pasting it all in this listing. But it is said that at least 5 different ghosts have been sighted here. NOTE: The Brinton Lodge property is Not open to the public at this time. Feel free to take pics and admire from afar, but please do not go onto that property.
