In the summer months, the foreshore along the eastern edge of Lake Rotoma can be rather busy. When it's hot, bathers of all shapes and sizes frequent this stretch of lakeside. There are enough facilities here to add to the popularity; including toilet and changing facilities, play ground, barbecue area, and picnic tables. The beach isn't flash... a bit gravelly in places, but the expansive views across the Lake are priceless. Swimming or not, this Lake is beautiful in any season.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not an easy cache. There is next to no mobile coverage, so you will need to plan for this. The cache is a camouflaged film canister. It is a log only cache with little room for anything else. Please bring your own pen/cil. As there is a large, deep body of water in front of you, and a very busy road behind you, please watch small children.
