Take a stroll through a small reserve that doesn't get enough visitors. Great for nature lovers. Bad for Chiroptophobes.
The cache is located in Little Fisheries Creek Reserve,
the park has an official entrance, that although centrally located can be tricky to spot but once your in you'll have it in no time.
Remember There is ABSOLUTELY NO need to cross any private property or disturb any bush land!!!
(The parks entry location is in the hint)
Little Fisheries Creek Reserve a small 6,350 square metre Crown reserve under the trust management of Ballina Council located along the southeastern foreshore of Little Fisheries Creek. A group of local residents formed the Little Fisheries Landcare Group and cleaned up the area, planted a few extra natives and even planned to build a boardwalk along the banks of the creek. But seeing as that was back in 2002 I don't think it'll be happening unless more people show interest in this little slice of nature.
It is still a nice quiet little park with plenty for the nature lover, lots of well established native trees and heaps of wildlife including:
Blue bird
Bluefaced honey-eater
Blue-tongue lizard
Bush turkey
Butcher bird
Corella
Currawong
Dove
Eastern rosella
Kookaburra
Lorikeet
Miner
Pheasant coucal
Pigeon
Scarlet honeyeater
Spangled drongo
Tawny frogmouth
White Ibis
And plenty of Flying Foxes
The Cache has room for Swag and travel bugs.
Come and find me....
