Geocache Description:

A series of caches in a nice bit of countryside, lots of good views and a walk to enjoy.
The full walk is 5.19 miles, thank you Zeus.

The proposed Trent and Mersey Canal was seen as a threat by the Trustees of the Navigation, for it ran parallel to the River Weaver for some distance near Anderton.
The first known idea for the canal was in 1755, with the final plan enacted by Parliament in 1766 and the canal actually opened in 1771.

The cache is a small screwcap tube, please bring something to sign the log.

Parallel Lines Badge.
Sir & Lady Harveyjj have created this splendid badge.
The badge is only awarded to those who have completed the series.
If you would like to display the badge in your profile please contact me for the details.
