Petite Balade de 30 minutes (+100m de dénivelé) pour aller découvrir un beau point de vue sur le Golfe de Porto Vecchio.
Je n'ai pas trouvé la traduction de Punta di a Varra (corse) - si quelqu'un trouve je suis preneur. Il y a un autre mont accesible en voiture (antennes radios)
L'acces se fait par un parking 2/3 voitures environ 100 m avant le virage de lionrock (direction Pavellone) sur la route de Piccovaggia entre Porto Vecchio et Palombaggia. (voir le géocache "lionRock' dans le coin). Il y a un panneau de bois vierge sur la route sur la droite.
Prendre le chemin à pied. Premier embranchement il faut aller à droite. Au Deuxieme embranchement: prendre à gauche.
Pas d'ombre sur le chemin - Attention à la chaleur pour les enfants!! Avec enfants compter 30 min aller et 20 min retour.
Short 30 minute hike (starts at 75m altitude and finish is at 172m). Reward is a beautiful view of the golfe of Porto Veccio.
It is called Punta di a Varra - but I could not find any translation for this corsican name. There is another little peak that is accesible by car with Relay Antennaes - but this peak has a better view and is by foot!!
Take the road from Porto Vecchio to Palombaggia called Route de Picoovaggia. On this road you will find a viewpoint called Lion Rock which is also the turnoff for Pavellone. (see LIONROCK geocache) The acces is 100 m before this turn/viewpoint. There is a blank wooden sign. Park and embark on the foot path.
At the first fork in the path go right. Go left at the second fork. Reach the top and Enjoy!.
For children consider 30 mins to go up and 20 mins to get back down. NO shade so children beware in summer.
