This is an easy cache which I placed in a fantastic place to camp/stay and enjoy what Carnarvon Gorge has to offer
Carnarvon Gorge is an amazing Nation Park in Queensland. It is well worth taking a few days to explore this magnificent area. The Gorge itself has many walks ranging in difficulty and length making it upto you how much or how little you want to see. Scenic helicopter flights over the area are also worth doing if time is available. This is an area where photos do not show the beauty and history of the Gorge in all it's glory. It is a personal choice, however, I have two small children (3.5 years old) and I did not take them on the hikes around the Gorge. Please take into consideration the length of walks, difficulty and necessary requirements (water and food) before leaving to hike the Gorge.
