Skeerpoort is a small village between Hartebeespoort Dam and Magaliesberg. It is surrounded by farms and it has its own primary school.
The cache is a small, spec bottle (approx. 50ml) which holds a logbook and very tiny trade items. PLEASE REPLACE EXACTLY AS FOUND.
There used to be a railway line running through this village and there is still a sign indicating the railway track. Sadly the track is long gone.
We found the ruins of what seems to be a platform for getting onto and off the train. It is in line with where the railway track used to be.
We were not able to find a better hiding spot, so the cache is in plain view. The entrance area is used to moved manure, so it really stinks here. Be sure to keep your car windows and doors closed, so that the smell does not linger inside your car. You'll get a bit used to the smell when you are outside.
