Geocache Description:

A Letterbox Hybrid hidden on the Fred Haught Trail. Be sure to take the spoiler picture with you. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!

The Fred Haught trail, named for the rancher who had a cabin in the area, is a beautiful 7 mile trail spanning from the Mogollon Rim to the Pinchot cabin, and is part of the Cabin Loop Trail system. It is relatively level and easy hiking for the most part, and in summer is beautiful. The southern 2.5 miles are part of the Arizona Trail as well. Superkato, Annobanana, and I backpacked this trail and I felt that a letterbox was needed.

The combination of trees, the canyon, and rocks make the coordinates imprecise. The cache can be found on the south part of a small hill 120 feet due west of where the Arizona Trail leaves the Fred Haught trail. It is a small container with few trade items (since I was backpacking).

This cache is within .5 miles of the remains of the Fred Haught Cabin. This letterbox is dedicated to Arizona Ranger Team, who placed Freds Cabin which introduced me to the area and the trail. The letterbox stamp actually came out of the aforementioned cache.
Resist the urge to approach this cache from the west. It is a much easier approach and hike from one of the trailheads, and the hike is beautiful. Use the waypoints.

This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
