Geocache Description:

LV Labojums! Lūdzu caur somu pirti nestaigāt. Nu, vismaz, darīt to neuzkrītoši, ja skaidri manāms, ka tur neviena nav. Pievienots Parking punkts, legāla pieeja - lai gan grūtāka - sākas tur.

EN Edit! Please do not walk thru or drive in the private property. Start the walk in Parking way-point. The access is more difficult, but legal!

LV Slēpnis krastā ieslīpi iepretim Jaunutēnu Velnakmenim

EN Cache on the right bank diagonally across from Jaunutenu Devils Stone

Sast. I. Ruberte. Valmieras novada teikas. 1999.)

EN One of the Devil’s Stones, it resembles a chair and lies in the river, a very picturesque site. The dimensions of the stone: volume of 20 m³, height of 3.50 m, circumference of 11.9 m.“Once the Devil was fed up with life, he became angry and jumped into the Salaca River to drown himself. He threw himself in a whirlpool. When he was drowned his soul turned into a stone. This is why the stone is called the Devil’s Stone.” (1086, 6 Mazsalaca. Compiled by I. Ruberte. (Legends of Valmiera surroundings). 1999)

EN Access - either by a boat down the river, or from Līču skola road across the field.
