Geocache Description:

Placed with the approval of the Clayton County Water Authority, this area is a prime spot for bird watching.  The area is fenced and the gate automatically closes at different times during the year, so check the sign at the entrance to avoid becoming an overnight guest.

If you like birding, you will like this spot.  You may want to bring your Field Guide and binoculars.  If you don't like birding, visit anyway and maybe you will start combining geocaching with bird watching.  First to find gift is our sig item, hand woven on an inkle loom.

Roger Tory Peterson (1908-1996) was a well-known naturalist, ornithologist, artist, and the author of the well-known Field Guide to the Birds as well as numerous other books and articles on the world of nature.

Congratulations to Jazzmasters for the FTF!
