This has been a much-loved spot for many years, especially for those of us from Kawerau. It is great for picnics, barbecues, camps nearby and even baptisms. There is beautiful swimming in this crystal clear lake and great trout-fishing about halfway along. The lake is higher than it used to be so not quite as much beach as there was.
There is very limited cell phone reception here. Later note: The lake is now lower again. But this makes no difference to this cache. What has made a difference is that the hiding place has been damaged a little and cache is further in, in a piece of camo material. Please be gentle with this possie.
