Geocache Description:

On 06/02/2013 Bd's banged out cache number 6000. Now thats a lot of lamplifters and guardrails! In celebration of this great milestone, the kids and I hid a celebratory cache in his honor.

Heres a nice little cache that will take you up the rarely visited backwaters of Conneauttee Creek. One small catch...........You will need some sort of watercraft to get you there. The surrounding areas are private property and are marked as such so the ONLY way to the cache is via the water. (Hence the 5 terrain rating)

Bd's obsessive compulsive disorder won over this Spring and he purchased a kayak that to my knowledge hasn't left the garage yet. Its time to blow the dust off that bad boy and get it floating!

The parking coordinates provided will take you to Washington Township's Penninsula Park. Park here and launch your watercraft for a short paddle up the creek. You will be looking for a cammo'd aluminum cylinder which is attached with a cable to the roots of a tree. Inside you will find another container holding the log. There is no need to exit your canoe or kayak. The cache can easily be reached from a sitting position. I included a spoiler photo for the cache location.

Please use care and stealth when retrieving the cache. Please rehide the cache as good or better than you found it. With all water sports...please wear your PFD at all times when on or near the water.

Don't forget YOUR camera!!
