Come celebrate Fall in Ohio at the inaugural CHILI, CACHIN' & FOOTBALL event! Come out and join us for a fun puzzle cache, a Browns game by an outdoor fireplace, and a delicious chili cook-off.
- Event starts at 12:30 pm on Sunday, October 27th
- Event is being held at the River Grove-Oak Open Shelter at the North Chagrin reservation of the Metroparks. (http://www.clevelandmetroparks.com/Main/River-Grove---Oak-Reserved-Open-Shelter.aspx).
- Watch the Browns vs. Kansas City Chiefs starting at 1:00 pm on the 60" screen next to a huge stone fireplace glowing with a warm and cracklin' fire (unless it is still too warm - then plan to sweat it out and pretend it is chilly outside).
- Think you are a chili making master? Bring along a crockpot of your best and enter it into the "Magical Fruit Chili Cook-off" where we will have prizes for "The People's Champ" and "Fauxlebrity Judges Favorite."
- Don't worry, we didn't forget about caching. There will be a puzzle for you to solve with "fabulous prizes" for the fastest solvers. You will get coordinates/clues at the event and these will be published as permanent caches after the event (in other words - these are not temp caches).
- In addition to chili, we will provide grilled hot dogs and chili fixins' (cheese, onions, Fritos, etc).
- If you would like to bring something like snacks, a side dish, or dessert to share, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are planning to bring something, please indicate what you are bringing in your "will attend" log just to ensure we don't end up with 20 plates of brownies and nothing else

- We will provide water and coffee - if you would like other beverages, please plan to bring. For "adult beverages", please follow the Cleveland Metroparks policy below:
In other reserved facilities, canned or bottled beer, wine or champagne, served in cups is permitted in the reserved facility “structure” only. Kegs, beer balls or other alcoholic beverages (i.e. hard liquor) are not permitted. The responsible party must remove empty cans and bottles. Please recycle.
