Geocache Description:

It is said that Hunseby got its name after King Huns, who ruled so long ago that it is almost a lie.

In the south wall of the church is a face carved in stone, and below this is another carved stone, reminiscent of a navel. A legend tells that the face and belly button is showing the height of King Huns. In an attempt to capture Askø, located next to Bandholm, he drowned. He was buried close to Knuthenborg main building.

A recent dating suggests that Hunseby Church was built around the 1060th It is one of the earliest churches in Denmark.

To find the cache you must place yourself just below the king and set cource 22.4° x the numbers in a different king's seal. (It's on a memorial stone placed near the community center - on the other side of the road.) Follow this course 225 m

Contains logbook, pencil, pencil sharpener, spinningtop and a key pendant.
