The creek has the "Mother of all Logjams", "Aptos Creek pools" that have to either be waded and scaled or traversed around, "Secret Falls", and this rock wall. It is the only place along the whole creek where I couldn't figure out how to get past without using some special equipment. My first time I was with a group that had ropes. Second time, I searched for ways on both sides to get around it but couldn't see one. So we built a way over the the top, our own log jam so to speak. And that is the easiest way in my opinion to get over this spot. This time I brought a container and marked this location. During the rainy season, the falls makes it an even harder challenge! One of the many breathtakingly beautiful spots in the canyon. The difficulty for this spot is based on having to use your brain to figure out how to get over the wall.
