Geocache Description:

A new species of reptile has been discovered in Montana !  Scientists have found a previously unknown lizard that they have dubbed the Cottonwood Chameleon. It's scientific name is geocachesus inacottonwoodus. As far as can be determined, DNA indicates that this reptile's nearest living relative is a famous celebrity gecko.

This rare specimen can be found near water at a public river access spot. There's plenty of ample parking nearby. As in the handling of all small creatures PLEASE be very careful in pulling this fellow from it's hiding spot ... it's very shy after all ... as the log container could easily become detached. A TOTT will be necessary to sign the log. Please bring your own scribble stick. Be the first to find this newly discovered creature !

Update 9/1/20 ... I had to move this critter to a nearby cottonwood. A beaver has begun to gnaw down the cottonwood tree that originally held the cache !
