Geocache Description:

In memory of my mom, Diane, who spent the good part of every summer catchin' some rays from her blanket here in the dunes, while we played on the beach. This is a fun way to remember her favorite place and the best childhood memories! :)

This is a small/ medium container. Inside are 2 ziploc bags, one for the pen and log sheets, and one for the loot :) There is a public beach access off of Winema Rd where you can park. Be sure to stay to the right of the entrance to the private camp here. (There are children in camp here in the summer, they're strict about this for their safety.) Head south after the beach access area about 1/4 mile or less. (please look for coordinates to get in the right position to climb up). From the beach, you will see a driftwood log in the dunes. It is laying down, pointing the way to the top. Climb up here. At the top, you will see 2 small groups of shrubbery ahead and to the left of you. The cache will be in the second set of shrubbery. Be aware of the muggle camp below.... they are very friendly as long as you stay in the dunes and don't cause trouble. (the camp is private property, but the dunes are public access).

**UPDATE** Please try to depend on the coords instead of the driftwood logs- last yr when I placed this one, there were two very distinct logs here, one of them is gone now, as "drift" wood does~ It's fun for the clues, but not as dependable as the coordinates :) thanks! Also, please remember to "re-hide" with plenty of dry grass/ wet grass, etc...so the kids at the camps don't accidently see it while playing games in the dunes. It should be fine where it is, as long as it has cammo back over the top/ sides of it to keep it out of view. Also, please obviously don't use sand to cover it, that's not allowed anyway because then it would be technically buried :)

~*~ CONGRATULATIONS "Wrong Way Smurf".... FIRST TO FIND!!~*~
