BADTÅG TILL BARSEBÄCKS SALTSJÖBAD / SJÖBOBADET
Vid slutet av 1800-talet blev bad vid saltstänkta kuster högsta mode. På sommar-söndagarna fylldes tågen av badlystna av alla samhällsklasser. Sjöbobadet var hållplats på Kävlinge - Barsebäckbanan, men det gick t ex även badtåg från Malmö till Lomma och mellan Lund och Bjärred. Stationshuset var det hus som ligger på andra sidan vägen.
Badtåget som stannade vid hållplats Sjöbobadet var ofta överfullt av resande som skulle ner och bada. Under Sjöbobadets storhetstid fanns det fem badbryggor, damer och herrar hade sina egna. Greven på Barsebäcks gods hade dessutom en egen badbrygga. Längst ut på stora badbryggan fanns ett kallbadhus.
I anslutning till hållplatsen anlades 1908 Barsebäcks Saltsjöbad där det fanns hotell, restaurang, dansbana och kiosker som var omgivna av fina planteringar. Hotellbyggnaden är nu omgiven av campingplatsen och är nu restaurang som av någon anledning bara är öppen på vinterhalvåret. Järnvägen fortsatte köra badgäster till havet fram till 1954.
Järnvägen Kävlinge - Barsebäck
I slutet av 1800- och början av 1900-talet utvecklades jordbruket i området. Dock släpade de allmänna kommunikationerna efter och greve Adolf Hamilton på Barsebäcks slott tog därför iniativet till att undersöka möjligheten till att anlägga en järnväg, allt i syfte att få ökad avsättning för sina produkter.
Kommunikationslantmätaren i Malmö fick därför 1897 i uppdrag att kostnadsberäkna en järnväg från Barsebäckshamn till Kävlinge. Banan skulle gå över Hög, Löddeköpinge, Barsebäcks gård och sedan Barsebäcks hamn. I februari 1906 inleddes anläggningsarbetena för den nya järnvägslinjen och den 4 augusti 1907 öppnades banan för allmän trafik.
Persontrafiken höll på till den 10 juni 1954 och bettransporterna upphörde efter 1955 års betkampanj. Banan revs upp 1956.

BATH TRAIN TO BARSEBÄCKS SALTSJÖBAD / SJÖBOBADET
At the end of the 19 century bathing in salt water at the beaches became fashion. During summer Sundays the trains were filled with people of all classes who wanted to enjoy a day at the beach.
The train between Kävlinge-Barsebäckshamn made a stop at the Sjöbobadet station and was mostly overfilled with travellers who wanted to take a bath. The station house was situated on the other side of the road opposite the camping ground.
During the Sjöbobadet’s period of greatness there were five bathing piers and ladys and gentlemen had different piers. The Count of Barsebäck had his own. Right out at the biggest pier there was a house for public bath in cold salt water.
In connection to the station it was in 1908 built a summer hotel, a restaurant, an open air dance pavilion and sweetstalls, all surrounded by a nice garden. The hotel building is now a restaurant, surrounded by the camping ground. Of some reason nowadays the restaurant is only open at wintertime.
The train was transporting bath guests to Sjöbobadet until 1954.
The railway Kävlinge-Barsebäck
At the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century the agriculture was developed in the area. Unfortunately the communications were not so good. Therefore the Count of Barsebäck Castle took the initiative of building a railway. All in the purpose to sell his products.
In 1897 the communication surveyor got to find out how to build a railway between Kävlinge-Hög-Löddeköpinge-Barsebäck Castle- Barsebäckshamn.
In 1906 the constructon of the railway was started and the fourth of August 1907 it was opened for regular traffic.
The transport of people continued until 1954 and the transport of beets stopped in 1955. The railway tracks were taken away the year after.
