As I was traveling along toward a geotrip in Bakersfield, this fine, sunny day, I felt the need to stop. As I always do, I hit the 'find nearby cache' button on my phone and realized I had an opportunity! There was no cache at this beautiful rest stop! I realized I needed to fix this!
There is a short walk to GZ but it's an easy one. A wheelchair could get to GZ but would have difficulty making the find. As I walked around, I couldn't help but think how beautiful the grounds are here and how much upkeep it must take! I was wondering if they might be planning MORE for this particular area... it looks like a stage that looks on to... NOTHING! but, the information there is really cool.... CONGRATULATIONS to Truckgirl2 and Gastank2 for being FTF!!
