Part of the Lazy Leisure series which are a tribute to my Geohound Bud, who in his youth loved the outdoor pursuits, especially the ones where the end results was a nice chunk of kibble (this could be smelt from some distance away and being a hound, he normally attained his prey), now into his dotage he much prefers his leisure pursuits for the comfort of the back of the car, where he can see all the fun but expend none of the energy!
FOOTBALL/CRICKET – Bud loved the slow gentle nature of cricket, it suited his natural countenance. Less fond of the robust, physical football, full of uncouth language and spitting, but ah the burgers were good! Caches placed around Kendals leisure facilities where Bud used to plod regularly, football and cricket co-exist here, area can be busy at weekends. Cache is a micro vial, you may need tweezers or you can flick repeatedly to release log, bring your own pencil, please be wary of seasonal nettles and foliage. If you wish to complete the series on foot, parking is available at LL Double Up, from here to LL Get In, is 1.46km approx, so walkable, but be prepared, Kendal is not flat and the walk up to LL Get In is quite steep!! Though the views are worth the climb. Please park responsibly, do not block any access roads - thanks. Good place to park, two caches within easy reach from here LL Double Up and LL Monkey, can leave car if wish to do entire series on foot Please leave the cache container in place, remove the log with tweezers and return to the container. You will struggle to remove the container, please leave in situ.
