Our family camped at this far end of Winema my whole life~ lots of fun and memories here. Grandpas last name was Staff :)
this is a potato salad size container wrapped in cammo duct tape. Inside is another container which contains the ziplocs with the log sheets and loot bag. there is $1 and some painted rocks for 1st to find :)
From the public beach access parking area off of Winema Rd, head south on the beach about 1/2 mile. (If you come to the stream that flows from Daley lake to the ocean, you've gone too far). Looking up from the beach here, you should be able to see the Winema viewpoint on the highway above. Look toward the dunes and trees...you should see a "NO TRESPASSING" sign, private property. this pertains to the trail that runs through the trees here and into the private camp beyond. The beach and the dunes are public access. Look just to the right of the sign, beyond the weird tree and you'll see a berm of sand/ driftwood/ grass... with a little trail that leads up to the top. From the top, you look ahead of you and you should see a white-ish drift wood log, like a plank, laying in the weeds/ grass. Walk on it until you are just about halfway...reach down, on the north side, under some driftwood pieces. Don't forget to look around you at the scenery ~it's pretty :)

**Note: the pictures of the original cache are not accurate anymore, the container now is wrapped in cammo tape and has a black lid. Also, the "shark fin" markers on the driftwood have broken off, and are now just used to lay on top of the cache to hide it better.
