Maud Williamson State Park was formed in 1934 and is located on Hiway 221 (Salem-Dayton). It's primary use is day only for picnicking, bird watching, and family gathering. Maud was a school teacher at Wheatland school and her father was postmaster of Wheatland Post Office until 1890. Maud died in 1933 and the land was donated to State of Oregon for a park. Take the Wheatland Ferry for a very scenic view of the Willamette River (if it is operating)
The cache is a small altoid camoed container clearly marked Geocache. BYOP. Parking is close by in summer and in winter you will have to walk from the front parking lot. It is not wheel chair accessible. The park has hours of operation but is open seven days a week.
