Geocache Description:

You are looking for a container of the sort you take to the beach, this is a nice quick cache before or after you board the ferry. I have permission from the owner to place this cache. You DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER THE GARDEN and PLEASE respect to owner and residents when searching for this cache. If you see the owner or children say hi.

This cache is placed at Strathwhillan House, this was built around 1850 and it was owned till the late 1920s by the Stoddart Family who were well known on the island with connections to Brodick castle. It was also featured in a episode of Para Handy where it was used as a hospital .The building is a blend of old and new and has been ran for the last 7 years by my best friend, we often visit the island of Arran and consider it my second home as I now know my way around and know some of the locals. Charlotte the proprietor is also a geocacher along with her children.
