Farvannet Traditional Cache

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Geocache Description:

Farvannet er et idyllisk vann som ligger like inntil E39. Jeg husker godt da jeg som guttunge en sommer forvillet meg inn her på mopeden og følte jeg var kommet til en helt ny (og svært grønn) verden.



Like fra cachen kan man begi seg avsted oppover den gamle postveien, f.eks. mot cachene ved Kvislevann og Bukksteinen, eller innover veien langs Farvannet mot flotte Straisvann. Kvislevann har også en god beskrivelse av historien rundt Postveien, som er vel verdt å få med seg. Det er parkeringsmuligheter ca en meter unna cachens plassering. Anbefaler ellers turkartet "Bymarka - Torridal" for en grei oversikt over området og turløypene her.

Cachen har ikke plass til skrivesaker, ta derfor med egen penn! Det kan også være litt tricky å få loggen ut av beholderen, så hvis ikke tålmodigheten er på topp kan det være lurt med en pinsett eller lignende som hjelpemiddel.


In English;
Farvannet is a beautiful lake just by the E39, and also a good waypoint/starting place for the other geocaches in the area. This is a micro, so bring your own pen, it might also be wise to bring some tweezers or similar, for the (sometimes) hard to get log.
