This series is designed to get you out of the car and hiking some really nice trails around the state. I have hidden these caches in Weetamoo Woods, Mt. Hope Farm, Wolf Hill, Ryan Park and The Great swamp. The hikes range from under a mile to more than 3 miles. In each of these locations there are also many other great caches for you to find as well. In addition, on the inside of the cover of each of these caches as well as in the back of the logbooks there are pieces of coordinates to a final bonus cache which is located in my favorite hiking spot, Big River. You must find all 5 of the "Take a Hike R.I." caches before you can go for the final. Once you have found all the Take a Hike R.I. caches you will have a set of coordinates that will lead you to the final cache. Welcome to Big River! This is by far my favorite location in the state! So of course I had to put the final here. There is a huge trail system here. So big that I have been here dozens of times and still haven't hiked them all yet. This cache may not be as traditional as the rest in the series and this will be the longest hike of the series. So come prepared. Make sure to wear your orange during hunting season!
