Geocache Description:

In the early part of the last century, privately owned railroad cars would park on the spur while their owners visited the Santa Barbara area.

The idea of siting of a vintage railroad car for static display at the historic rail spur at the downtown Railroad Depot originated during the restoration process for the Railroad Depot facilities in the late 1990s.

In 2006, this circa 1914 Pullman heavyweight coach (which was rebuilt in 1929 as the Southern Pacific Business Car Santa Barbara), was found to be in the possession of Fillmore and Western Railway Company, who restored it and transported it to this site.
