Come on out for a weekend of fun, family, friends, and lots of Geocaching activities! We want to show you how much fun Geocaching can be.
Friday Evening, Nov. 8:
6:30pm – Pot Luck Supper – Meet and Greet! We will provide the hot dogs and buns. Bring something to add to our dinner. Bring your own drinks. This will be in the Dining Hall.
9:00pm – Night Caches
Nite Time on Elm Creek Trail – located in the Park, easier for small children.
After Sunset at the End of the Lines - this one involves a longer trek, and a little more difficulty. Not so good for smaller children, especially if they are scared of the Dark!
Saturday, Nov. 9:
9:00am - Geocaching 101 – Taught by FishingKitty – location to be announced.
10:00am - Geocaching – West Texas Style. The MAIN Event!
10:30am - Nature Scavenger Hike by Dawn (Park Ranger) assisted by Love Cachers and the Amigos 12:30pm – Lunch! Catered by Jason’s Deli. Will be served at the Dining Hall. Will need to pay for this in advance. Will be a box lunch. Prices to follow.
2:00pm - Master Naturalists will be doing a presentation. Location to be announced. 3:00pm – Camp Cooking Demonstration – Hosted by The Amigos. Location to be announced.
4:00pm – Cobbler Cook-Off Starts – To be judged by Media and Park Rangers, after supper! (This event is still questionable, as there will probably be a Burn Ban in the Park, and not sure if anybody wants to do Cobbler on grills, but we sure hope so!!)
6:00pm – Supper! Catered by Sharon Allen’s B-B-Q. Will be served at the Dining Hall. Will need to pay for this in advance. Will be Barbeque! Prices to follow.
7:00pm – Cobbler Cook-Off Judging – Come watch the judging (and hope for a taste!).
8:00pm – Night Sounds – Location to be announced. This will be hosted by Park Rangers. The kids will love this! *Could be earlier depending on Cobbler Cook Off*
9:30pmish – NEW Night Cache – Hosted by Amigo Son#2 and his friends! Hope you’re ready!
Sunday Morning, Nov. 10:
8:30am – Morning Inspiration Session – At the Amphitheater – Come join us for an open-air visit.
9:00am – Geocaching – West Texas Style CITO – We will leave this park better than we found it!!
All meals and other items will need to be paid for in advance, via PayPal. These will need to be paid for NO LATER THAN October 18, 2013, so that I can get your tickets for the meals. You will have to have a ticket to get your meals, as the vendors will NOT be allowed to sell anything at the Park.
