Geocache Description:

A night cache near Greytown

For nearly 20 years the Rotary Club of South Wairarapa has undertaken responsibility for much of the improvements of Tate Reserve. These improvements include weed eradication, installing three bridges, surfacing the entrance path and more recently a pest control program. For two years the club has managed this  program aimed at eradicating rats, possums and mustelids, ( stoats, weasels and ferrets). The goal is to improved chick survival so as to enhance the native bird life in the reserve.

When wandering through the reserve you may encounter, traps, trapping equipment, pink marker triangles and tapes. These have nothing to do with locating the cache and should not be touched.

This cache is positioned with thanks to mumandme and takes it's inspiration from GC44YDJ and GCZ3AX.
