Geocache Description:

This is a park and grab at Motuoapa on the southern end of Lake Taupo along state highway 1

Just 9km north of Turangi and 40km south of Taupo, this is a good spot to stop and refresh

The cache is placed with permission from the owners, and they will be keeping a friendly eye out for you When you are done, pop in to the local icon for a cuppa and a feed before you get back on the road again. If you are interested in staying longer in the area, perhaps to fish for rainbow trout or just to enjoy the Lake, you will find kayak and self-drive boats for hire nearby.
