Geocache Description:

PROUD MEMBER OF GEOCACHINGMAINE.ORG

Mainiac1957's The Last Cache Bashe of Summer 2011 (GC2ZJF8) was my first experience geocaching and the first cache I ever logged. I couldn't have asked for a better way to be introduced to the sport. And you couldn't have asked for a more gracious and accomodating host than Brad. Not having a clue how my Oregon worked, he showed me the basics and even entered the coords to the first cache I went looking for, his own Five years of the Bashe - cache (GC1G0E5).

Two years and nearly 1000 finds later, I'm having the time of my life. I've visited places I never knew existed (including more guardrails than I can count), have hiked and biked hundreds of miles and made lots of new friends. What's not to like except the ticks, deer flies and wet logs?

As I went looking for dufzor's Warblers Wobble but they don't fall Down! (GC3ZBG0) cache the other day, I noticed this little turn around and thought that it was a good spot for a quick cache, especially for those doing the August 2013 31 day challenge. As Mainiac is a notorious early riser and ftf hound and lives less than a mile away, I thought I'd put this one out for him. For those who find this cache and know Brad, feel free to include your own Mainiac thoughts in your log, the more embarassing the better. wink

(Note: Though Rt. 395 is a very short distance from this cache, do not attempt to access the cache from the highway. You need to drive to the industrial park, instead. Also, I may end up disabling this cache during the Winter time depending on the amount of snow we get. Though the cache is very Winter friendly, these turn arounds tend to get huge snowbanks from the plows. Please let me know if the container ends up getting buried. Thanks.) Congrats to Mainiac1957 (naturally) on being ftf!
