An unusual cache in a very quiet almost eerie location.
This was once the main trackway leading from Stratford towards Evesham as it was a much more gradual incline than the current route directly up Bordon Hill and so much more easy for horsedrawn transport.
On old maps Bordon Hill is spelled Bardon Hill and local glider enthusiasts report seeing ringed crop marks on the top of the hill suggesting a henge or tumulus long since ploughed out at ground level.
The top of the hill is 91m. 279 ft.
