Bambi's Ramble - Brocktons Blue Hill Reservation's Houghton's Pond has been used by Native Americas long before settlers came. Today, the area is still used for fishing and swimming. What's really nice about GeoCaching at Houghtons Pond is that there is a number of caches located throughout the park already. You can easily spend half a day devoted to cache hunting, with great spots to picnic all around. Grab Spot, the kids, or your reclusive neighbor and head on down to Blue Hill Reservations Houghton's Pond if you're looking for some GeoCaching adventures or just a day out of the house! Please note that our cache is located on the trail across the street from the parking lot. Please use existing trails as much as possible when locating the cache; you will not need to bush whack for this one. The trail itself is uphill where the path cuts through the wall. The terrain is a 3, so while the cache is kid friendly, we would certainly suggest older kids who can handle the terrain. (This cache is not a "Cache-in, Trash-out event", but please take care not to leave anything behind other than the GeoCaches and wildlife. Thank you!)
