Geocache Description:

One of nearly 4 dozen geocaches placed along a 160-mile length of the Bear River between Niter (Idaho) and the Bear River Bird Refuge (Utah) in the summers of 2013 and 2014.  Geocache numbers refer to the distance in river miles from the Cove Powerhouse southwest of Niter where we began our long canoe journey.  It was our intent that the caches in this series could only be accessed by floating the river, thereby encouraging others to explore and enjoy the "Bear" for themselves.

This cache is located on an island about 5.8 river miles below the Cleveland / Centennial bridge northwest of Thatcher, Idaho.  The cache is a yellow plastic capsule hanging about 4 feet above the ground in a willow bush.  BYOP.
