This cache is not at the posted coordinates, they merely mark the beginning of your tour of Perth! This is a perfect way to discover Perth as a visitor, to introduce your own visitors to the town, or to tour around a place you already know well.
At each of the following ten waypoints (the initial location being point A) you will find the answers to the corresponding questions. Those answers will in turn allow you to complete the calculations necessary to determine the coordinates of the final cache. Please take some time to read the signs at each stop and learn about the history of this beautiful town.
All points, including the cache itself, are easily accessible and winter friendly. There is no need for stealth at each waypoint as they simply require you to read a sign; however, the final location may require stealth at times. The cache contains the usual logbook, but requires that you bring your own pen. It also contains a TB and a toonie for the FTF.
The coordinates of the final cache are N A° B.CDE, W F° G.HIJ. Use the answers to the questions below (X represents the answer) to find the value of each letter in the final coordinates.
- A- How many men from Perth and the surrounding district were killed in WWII? A= X-1
- B- In what year was Matheson House Built? B= X-1787
