While sailing down the coast, close to the settlement of Gerol Town, the Captain decided to pull in for some much needed supplies. The cook was charged with procuring some meat, as the crew were sick of fish.
Arriving on shore the locals were busy praying to their god, Osiris, so the Pathfinder we needed to help was unavailable. So we decided to push on by ourselves, our first encounter with the native animals was not good as the crew just could not catch them. This was a slippery and cunning beast called a Bastholm, and caused one of the crew to slip and squash two bags of vegetables we collected.
Heading back in disgust, we were lucky enough to find the locals enjoying the sea breeze, they were very generous and traded with us so we could go back to the ship with some meat. The locals did warn us about the local spirit Bullung who has habit of gobbling down weary travellers food, if they are not watching.
