Gam's Wood Traditional Cache

A short walk down through Gam's Wood. About halfway down literally just off the main path. GPS will be to it's rough location but the sandstone cliffs on both sides and dense tree cover make GPS readings jump about near the cache.

Gam's woods are between Malpas and Tilston. Due to a very old cattle market east of the woods the farmers drove their cattle around them and down Mates Lane. The route trampled by the cattle became the main route between Malpas and Tilston and the old roman road that ran through the woods became just a path through the woods. The cache is about halfway down the path in a section overlooked on both sides by sandstone facings.
