Izzy's Pirate Chest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Burg737: Checked the cache this morning and found most of the 'swag' was gone and the small wooden treasure chest inside the plastic container had been taken. This is the second time in this park that the cache has been vandalized, so I've given up at this park and will re-locate the cache to a different area sometime in the future. Brought what remained of the cache home with me, so there is nothing to find anymore.

Geocache Description:

This is the first geocaching experience for our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter - is it possible to start them too early??  She is a big fan of 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates' and Izzy is one of the main characters, thus the name of the cache.  All the items in the cache were selected by our granddaughter, so this is a cache for youngsters or those young at heart. This is in one of the many parks in Pima County and has plenty of parking available.  Even if you park at the furthest point you will be no more than 200 yards away.  It is pretty much out of sight from muggles, but on weekends it tends to get busy.  It's close to a children's play structure, but not really visible. Only one reasonable way to the cache, but be careful of the usual desert vegetation. Use the usual precautions for desert creatures. You are looking for a 4"X6" clear plastic container with blue lid.
