Hello City 2.0 (A Letterbox) Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

agltbialik: Rest In Peace, Hello City...

This was a wonderful experiment to demonstrate how you can hide a fairly large container, in an urban area, even though it was brightly colored and not camouflaged at all... in fact, this was normally covered in either bright pink, Hello Kitty or bright blue, bacon duct tape. It survived quite a while, only being muggled a few times, but I think that was mainly due to bad replacement.

Alas, I've been informed by Geocachers and Letterboxes that the area has been changed, the trees razed, and the cache is now gone. Unfortunately, life also has changed much for me, so keeping this one alive isn't as easy as it once was.

Thanks to all that played and favorited. My intentions were always to provide a different type of geocaching experience inside the city, normally not a place you find very elaborate caches due to muggle activity. I wanted locals to be able to find odd and fun caches without having to travel to the boondocks to do so; and I hope that this one helped deliver that a little.

Geocache Description:

If you're new to letterboxing, PLEASE LEAVE THE STAMP IN THE CACHE CONTAINER.
You will start a specific location and then follow clues that will lead you to the cache. Use the stamp to log into your stamp book, then sign or use your own personal stamp in my logbook.
If you don't have a stamp, treat this like a regular geocache and just sign the logbook like normal. And please post pics of your stamp here!

Cache not at posted coords.

This is a short short letterbox, but we need many more of these in the city!

Letterbox clues:

You will start at the island of the lonely pine. A phoenix will rise, bringing life from the ashes, and face a road divided. Follow the road closer to the south, past the two buildings of brick and palm. Keep the worshipers at a distance and stay close to the rescuers. Keep true towards the west until just past the wall of green (without any green), and duck under the first, mushroom shaped tree to find a craftily camoflauged cache, naked to the muggle eye, but easy for a geocacher and letterboxer to find. Enjoy your riches!

PLEASE POST PICTURES OF YOUR STAMP IN THE BOOK! I'd like to see them without having to visit this cache all the time, and just in case this gets muggled.

Thanks to Madman Fong for help with the letterbox clues
