NEW YORK ABC-123 CHALLENGE

This is a Challenge Cache based on one of the first things we teach our kids, the ABC’s and 123’s. Here is your chance to meld the ABCs and 123’s with geocaching.

To claim this cache, you need to find and log 36 other caches whose names start with different letters and numbers, one for each letter of the alphabet, and one for each number 0-9. The first character of the cache name is the only character that counts. All caches must be NEW YORK caches. This cache will not count as one of the 36!

Here’s the process that you will have to follow to complete this Challenge:

• Create a public bookmark called “New York ABC-123 Challenge" :
• Successfully find and log New York caches the names of which begin with each letter of the alphabet and each number. (36 caches). Include this cache in your bookmark; since you haven’t found it yet, it doesn’t count – you will need another “N” cache, so there will be 37 caches in the bookmark.
• Keep this bookmark public for a minimum of 1 month after completing the challenge.
• Examples:
  • The Dog’s Bark = T
  • Dog Ears = D
  • Orange Dog = O
  • Boots = B
  • “King of the Dogs” = does not count since the first character is the “
  • 1 More Dog  = 1
  • Zero Dogs = Z
  • 0 Dogs = 0
• A look at your alphabetized bookmark list will indicate whether or not you have each letter and number.
• I opted for this particular difficulty ranking because I have no idea which caches you may choose to do for this challenge, it may take some time to complete, and some planning as well. I hope you enjoy this twist to our mutual hobby, passion, obsession.
• The posted coordinates are not correct. They are parking coordinates for the final find. Solve the puzzle to find the coordinates for the cache.
