Geocache Description:


The lost village of Eden Place.

The settlement at Eden Place comprised initially, a street of houses called Eden Row (cache location) built close to the Stanhope & South Shields Railway line.( Now C2C cycle path).Nearby at a later date, Eden Square and then Eden Place were built further to the north. A school was built close to Eden Place. The houses and school were built by James Joicey starting around 1878
