Another of my police/military/rescue themed caches. The night of Feb. 12, 1997 4 young Coast Guard rescue boatman raced into a terrible storm to save two mariners whose sailboat had been swamped. While the mission was a success in the end, only 1 of these dedicated Coasties lived to tell the tale. The Coast Guard is a small service and the loss of one of us affects us all. I dedicate this cache to that brave crew. May their spirits watch over and guard our Loup and Platte River as they did the Quillayute. Read the linked website for more on this heroic rescue.
From Pawnee park head east on the dike/trail. Coordinates are the vicinity due to tree cover, not exact spot. Medium sized lock n lock for small swag and TB's. There's a secondary type find hiding in it too. Please keep swag trade-ables with the theme. FTF is a zipper compass.
